Brandon became a law enforcement officer at 19 and has served in the role of Chief of Police in a Metro Atlanta police department since 2007. He was also honored with the opportunity to serve in the role of Interim City Manager for his current jurisdiction for an 11 month period between 2011 and 2012.

Brandon holds an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice Administration and an MBA with a cognate in Human Resources from Liberty University.

The idea of the American Armor Foundation came to be after Brandon became aware of a RAND Study estimate that approximately 200,000 American law enforcement officers are serving their communities without the protection of a ballistic vest due, in large part, to budgetary constraints. “As a chief of police, I cannot imagine asking one of my officers to go out into the field without providing them with a vest and I wanted to do all that I could to make sure no other chief has to do that. America’s police officers are a valuable resource to their communities and deserve better.”

“The American Armor Foundation has a special meaning to me.  I have many close friends and family members in law enforcement and I cannot imagine them doing their job without a vest.  Law enforcement officers put their life on the line every day and some do it without the protection they need.  My hope is that The American Armor Foundation can make their lives a little safer.”
